Welcome to Metcalfe Art web site. I am Peter 'Metcalfe' O'Connor and I invite you to browse through the various paintings in this website at your leisure. As you will see I like to paint scenes from daily life mainly on the streets of Dublin. People relaxing in a cafe or chatting with their friends and I try to capture these moments of people enjoying themselves on canvas. I look for a gesture and body language and anything that tells a story. I also include some landscape painting where I try to capture the sun hitting animals and trees in country settings. I hope you can enjoy these paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them. All paintings are available in print form to a limit of 30 per painting.
